Our range features a Victorian white tile, a creamy off-white. Additionally, we offer a brighter off-white tile at a slightly higher cost, which is often a preferred choice for certain projects.

Customised sheeted Victorian path tiles diagram with tiles and ruler

These decorated tiles are known as encaustic because the colour and pattern are fused deeply into the body of the tile. This technique, developed in 1860, continues to create robust tiles with excellent technical characteristics by partitioning and pressing ceramic dust.

Made from sustainably sourced French and European clay, they are fully vitrified with near-zero porosity, making them very stain resistant and easy to maintain.

Fired at nearly 1,200°C, they are heat- and frost-resistant and are suitable for interior and exterior high-traffic residential, commercial, and industrial areas. With an absorption rate below 0.5%, they perform exceptionally well in damp environments such as swimming pools and professional kitchens.

The tiles are 150 x 150 mm square with a 1 mm chamfered edge.

The through-body colours and patterns extend throughout the tile’s thickness, ensuring long-lasting aesthetics. Due to traditional manufacturing methods, slight size variations may occur within industry standards (French CSTB and NF EN 14411), requiring a 2-3 mm grout width.

New designs, including historic replicas or bespoke patterns can also be created, making these tiles ideal for restoration and contemporary projects.
