Handmade ceramic tiles that are approved for use in heritage and conservation projects

Hand cut geometric tiles and hand made period encaustic tiles in a hallway.

Following traditional imperial-sizing, each tile is unglazed and hand-cut to order by one of the UK’s last remaining potteries, still specialising in historic English tile making.

The tiles are 11 mm thick (7/16 inch) and feature straight edges with solid colour throughout, ensuring accurate integration with original Victorian floors.

This range, rooted in an authentic 19th-century colour palette, meets the highest conservation standards and is ideal for the faithful restoration, extension, or reproduction of period designs. Prices

  • Individual tiles £1.20 to £8.40 depending on size, shape and colour.
  • Restoration colours are made as single colour inlay encaustics. 152 x 152 mm square tiles are £17.94 .
  • Colour matching starts from £400.

Tile sizes listed are approximate, as this range of tiles is hand made. Bespoke shapes, sizes and colours are also available.
